Facilities in the LRC

Library Website: LRC has its separate library website. Students can access all the information such as Web OPAC, N-LIST (using user ID and Password), various e-resources, online lectures, e-newspapers & Magazines, COVID-19 resources etc.

Online Library Feedback: LRC has facility of online feedback about library on its website.

Issue-Return through Barcode: All the issue-return and book transaction activity in circulation counter are done through barcode system.

Reading Room: The College Library has well furnished reading rooms with a total seating capacity of 50. It also has a separate section in reading room for Faculty members.

Computer Lab: LRC has separate computer lab with internet facility to all Faculty members and Students. These computers are meant for the use of academic purpose only.

CCTV: The library is under CCTV surveillance.

Wi-Fi: College has wi-fi facility in the campus. Students can access this facility for their academic needs only.

Property Counter: The Library offers the facility of property counter to its users. Users are required to deposit their Bags (excluding valuable items such as money, passport, credit/debit cards/mobile phones etc.) with the property counter attendant before entering into the library. But they are advised not to carry any valuable belongings / cash / jewellery etc. for which they themselves be responsible.

Special Facilities offered by the LRC to the Divyangjan: There is a ramp at the entrance of the College and a wheel chair for the purpose of facilitating the access of Divyangjan users in the library. Divyangjan users are not required to wait in the queue for issue/return of the books. The Library staff addresses the requirements of all such users on priority basis.

User Orientation and Awareness: All the newly enrolled students are made aware about the various facilities provided by the College Library every year during Induction/Orientation Programme organized on the very first month of the start of the new academic session. The students are also helped and trained in searching the books in the College Library by the library staff.

Information Literacy Programme: LRC conduct every year information literacy programme on various topics.

In-house / Remote Access to e-Resources: The users can access this facility through LRC website on the computers installed in the Computer Lab. Library is member of N-LIST programme of INFLIBNET to provide off site access to various e-journals and e-books etc.

Download: The users can download documents and other information from the various databases and electronic journals provided to the College through N-List. as per their needs and requirements.

Online Lectures: LRC provided online Lectures recorded by the faculty members of the College. Students can access this link in LRC website Menu.

Official You Tube Channel: College has its official you tube channel namely "NPSMM E-learning". Student can access the videos any time. Please subscribes this channel and press bell icon to get notification of New uploaded video.

Reference: College Library provides access to all reference collections including encyclopedias, yearbooks, dictionaries, Maps, biographies, competition books, thesis etc. All these reference books are for consultation only. The open access e-resources are provided in the LRC website.

New Arrival Display Service: Books newly added to the library are displayed on the display stands as well as in home page of LRC website before they are released for loan.

Newspaper & Magazines: Newspaper reading Huts are provided for the readers in front of library entrance and magazine stands are provided for the readers in the library.

Current Awareness Service: The Library provides various important services like Current Awareness Services (CAS), Reference Services, information regarding examinations, results, syllabus, etc.

Scanning & Printing Facility: This facility is available in the LRC for academic purpose only.

Uninterrupted Power Supply : LRC has powewr back facility. The college installed inverter as well as solar power system.

The College Library Committee: The LRC is administered by the Library Advisory Committee. The Librarian holds the position of Member Secretary while the teachers-in-charge of all the Departments of the College are the members of the Library Committee. The Principal of the College is the chairman of this committee. Being a statuary body of the library, it gives its recommendations for the betterment of the Library and its services from time to time. The college Library acquires books and reading resources on the recommendations of the Teachers-in-charge of the various departments of the College as well as from the student suggestions.
